Abstract

South America is home to five megadiverse countries: Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela (Miyahira et al., 2022). According to de Oliveira et al. (2023), the continent’s extensive latitudinal range and vast geographic expanse create a variety of climates and environments, making it highly susceptible to the introduction of non-native species.
