Abstract

The autor gives definitions of different types of lpant fossilization. Imprsions, moulds, petrifactions, compressions and mummifications are discussed. In the second part, all the important echniques for studying different types of fossil plants are described and discuseed. Many suggestions concerning the preparation, preservation amd labellin of fossil plants are given. Thie paper aims to fill a gap in the paleobotanical literatura published in Spannish; it also may be useful for gelogists working in stratigrphy using the plnts for their purposes.
